Michael Kiyaga, CPA
Founder/ President/ Director on Board


Currently, Mr. Kiyaga is an auditor for the state of New Jersey, with private practices in NJ and MA. He is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public accountants and the New Jersey Society of CPA’s.  A Ugandan native, he came to the US as a young man for an education that he hoped to use in supporting his family in Africa. Graduating with a BA in Accounting from Stockton State University in Pamona, NJ, he went on to achieve a CPA license in NJ and practices both there and in MA.

 


President

 Mr. Kiyaga founded the ministry in 2003, but as an incorporated, nonprofit organization in 2005. It has been his hearts’ desire to bring people to Uganda to see their plight firsthand and become involved in his effort to help there.   As Founder and Executive Director, he has traveled extensively throughout Eastern Africa, making frequent trips to the field bringing others and making them aware of the need for action.  He has built relationships with local pastors and gained their trust which enabled him to bring in mission teams, and establish schools and clinics. He continues in his leadership role today, still expanding the ministry to meet the needs of the children of Uganda. 

Most recently, he has cofounded AIM (African Institute for Medical Education) who's mission is a natural extension of Tower of Hope in that it is dedicated to raising the quality of health care by providing accessible accredited continuing education for medical professionals, as well as their patients.  

 

Pastor Arlene Parker, a Tax Accountant  has been to Uganda 2 times. On her first visit, she fell in love with the villages and the people she met. Her passion to help others was real. It is this passion that the board saw and elected her to lead Tower of Hope operations and missions. Pastor Arlene and her husband  Pastor Fred Parker are the founders of Caleb Ministries.   

Pastor Fredderick Boe Parkerretired from Government work. Pastor Fred Parker has been to Uganda 2 times and while there he adopted the country and villages as his own. He has been a trial blazer in helping Tower of Hope achieve its goals. Pastor Fred Parker is part of the board of advisors and works as the treasurer.  


Pastor Charles Bbosa

 Spiritual Advisor- US

Pastor Bbosa was ordained and holds his credentials through the Ministerial Fellowship International- MN, Maranatha Ministerial Fellowship International- VT, and Harvest Missions Ministerial Alliance International- MA and Africa. He has also attended classes at several universities including Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA.  Pastor Bbosa has been in ministry for 28 years as a youth pastor, evangelist, and senior pastor.  In 1995 he planted and pastored the Lord's Harvest Church International in Newton MA, and oversees two churches in Africa.  He is under the Apostolic and Bishopric covering of Dr. Bishop Darlingston Johnson, the  Senior Pastor of Bethel World Outreach Ministries/Church, and overseer of Bethel Churches worldwide.

 Pastor Bbosa comes to us as our US spiritual leader. He uses his gifting as a church planter to assist in expanding the ministry and his wisdom to lead us down the right path.   He currently resides in Woburn, Massachusetts with his wife Susan. The Bbosas have a daughter and two grandchildren.


 Pastor Dr. Daniel Nkata  Reachout Ministries Director

 Tower of Hope Spiritual Advisor- Africa

 Pastor Nkata is currently on the Board of Advisory in Uganda, Co-Founder and Executive Director of ReachOut Ministries.  He attended Cyprus Institute of Advanced Studies receiving a BA in Business Science & Administration, followed by a Masters’ Degree and Doctorate of Ministry from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology, Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

       Pastor Nkata has been in ministry since 1979. He has represented many international Ministries in multiple countries, including Morris Cerullo World Evangelism & The Full Gospel Business Fellowship, both in the US.   Don Double, Good News Crusades and Peter Gammons Ministry from the UK, and along with his wife Margaret, founding The Reachout Village Ministry in 1987 in Uganda where Pastor Nkata has seen God doing great things for many years.
       His interest is to see God lifted high and to see people's need met by God. He has a special interest in ministering to Villages in remote areas and Children. He intends to use all the experiences that God has given to him to see the work of Tower of Hope advanced.  In Uganda he has been blessed so he needs to bless others.  Through Tower of Hope, he will further the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.


Pastor James Mutebi   Agricultural Director

 Pastor Mutebi is the M & E Officer for the Sustainable Agricultural Program for Caritas Social Services & Economic Development in Kampala, Uganda.  He is the senior pastor in a church in Kayudaaya in the Mityana District where he has implemented agricultural projects for the sustainability of his church and community as well.  Pastor Mutebi brings to us a deep desire for a financial independence for his people through sustainable agricultural projects.


Barbara Nalukowe, MBA, MSc Environmental Engineering, BA Civil Engineering 

Ms. Nalukowe is a multi-skilled individual with 13 years' experience in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Sales,  Customer Service, Oil & Gas , Logistics & Transportation and Compliance Support. Her two years’ experience as a Communication Consultant at the Authors Forum with World of Inspiration in Kampala-Uganda, affirmed her interest in working with people at various levels and inspired them to reach their highest potential. Barbara offers us her gifts in teaching and motivational speaking, and career guidance and counseling.  Her interests include, singing in the church choir, reading, traveling and learning how to play musical instruments.  Jinja holds a special place in her heart, having grown up there, she will be involved in our current school project and is a blessing to us.


Dorothy N. Ssebakka, R.N.

Before coming to live in America, Dorothy was educated at the Makerere Business University in Uganda.  After immigrating to America, she completed her education by graduating from the Mass Bay College of Nursing.  Currently employed as a registered nurse in McLean Pyschiatric Teaching Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, her passion is to assist other immigrant women. This passion led to her becoming the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Women of Purpose International (WOPI), a non- profit faith based ministry  with a membership of upwards of 60,00  in chapters all over the US and Africa.  Dorothy is married and the mother of 3 adult children.  She lives in Waltham, MA   Dorothy brings to us both business knowledge as well as her huge capacity for nurturing and compassion.  We feel very privileged to have her with us.


Mabel Nanyonga Lutaaya

Mabel Nnanyonga Lutaaya is educated with a degree in Business Administration. Professionally, she holds three positions.  Mabel works in the Administration Dept. at Mukwaya General Hospital  since 2004 as an overseer of  medical billing and records , where she has picked up a basic knowledge of the medical language.  For the last 9 years she has also been the Coordinator for the Uganda Private Medical Practitioners Association. For about 5 years she has been the Personal Assistant to the CEO of Mukwaya Hospital, Dr. Ben Kiwanuwa, who is also the Minister of Health in Uganda.


Dr. Mathias Lukwago, MD   Medical Missions Director

Dr. Lukwago is the Tower of Hope physician as well as working in a government operated medical clinic.  He also owns and operates the Living Hope Medical Center, a private clinic in the Gomba District.  As our physician he coordinates the medical clinical missions on the ground and is in charge of our Living Faith Medical Center. Dr. Lukwago possesses a passion for healing people and a drive for studying & practicing medicine.
