Our vision is to see all of the orphaned & disadvantaged children of Uganda receive the love of a guardian, high quality education, and a healthy life.
Volunteer- Jen Rauscher, RN I have always been driven to do more, to travel, to change the world for the better. My co worker, Roberta Smith had mentioned Africa to me at work and I was immediately interested. Before I could even blink there I was in Uganda., Africa. By profession, I am an RN. so I worked in the medical clinics where I accessed men, women, children and infants and their medical conditions. I organized prevention and answered the questions ofthose present regarding different diseases. I did wound care, I worked in the pharmacy. While nursing work was my primary task, I did spend a lot of time with the children, playing, laughing, running and listening to them. The trip was hard for me to put into words. the experience was truly life changing and amazing. Today I am grateful for everything I have. I appreciate this moment and the Lord as the people of Africa do every second of every day. I make an effort to be less wasteful with things at owrk and at home. I read the bible on a regular basis, which is something I did not do before this trip. It was beautiful, wonderful, and life changing. I am so thankful for this group, for God, and especially for the people of Africa
